We are using a Banana Hobby foam airplane for the UAV airframe. The airplane flies very nice and should work well as a UAV for the time being. Its wingspan is about 55″ wingtip to wingtip.
We are using the Mongoose IMU from CKDevices for flight position data as well as the temperature and barometric pressure to calculate altitude. It is a really awesome board. However, since we couldn’t find very many helpful resources to help us along with the board, we decided to post our progress on the blog to help anyone else who comes along.
